    Rhythmic Step & HSTA

Well then, after you do that, I suggest you pull out Power Hour :D. Maybe the music from RS put a bug in my brain to do PH, but I did that last night. I'm not sure why I'm taking this walk down memory lane, but I sure am enjoying it!

    Rhythmic Step & HSTA

Hi Cathe, This isn't a question, just a comment: I did Rhythmic Step today for the first time in yeeeeaaarrrs. I had a lot of fun, and was pleasantly surprised at how well that routine holds up after all these years. I think you have some of your best choreography in that workout, and you broke...

    Dreaded Hip Replacement

Cathe's fantastic background exerciser, Brenda Frambes, had her hip replaced a few years ago, after a serious break during an Ironman. Based on her performance in subsequent videos, I'd say it doesn't seem to have slowed her down a bit!

    Mindy Mylrea

I've never done Booty Camp, but I do have her BOSU workout that came with the Xplode series, and it's challenging! Now that you've reminded me of it, I may have to do it tomorrow. It's been a while. Cheers!

Exercising with pelvic organ prolapse - rotation question

Hi Cathe, I'm going to be 44 in August, and have finally decided to pay attention to the mild POP that I was diagnosed with a number of years ago. I've found a great resource for exercising with POP (https://www.pelvicexercises.com.au/) and would now like to integrate her advice into my workout...

    Holla!

Yuppers! Still sweating, but this older version of me is getting rather rusty. What brings you back (not that I'm complaining)?

    Holla!

Hi Shelly! You remember me? I remember you! I'm still here, but not really conversant anymore. You still sweating away?

Solution to decision paralysis re: diet choices

I love both of these posts! Thanks for keeping it real! Combined with a realistic approach to nutrition and exercise is also a realistic expectation of what our bodies will or will not look like. The physique of a fitness model isn't going to happen without the right genes, youth, and...

    Road to Recovery Check In

Yay! I did a workout today! I did High Step Circuit - a beginner workout, but I used heavier dumbbells and enjoyed just moving again. It felt good to move without being overly strenuous.

    Road to Recovery Check In

It's been a couple of weeks since I last posted. There has been a lot of traveling in there, work stress, and a personal situation that has consumed all my emotional energy. While traveling I have been doing Travel Fit and yoga, mostly. Even so, I've had more rest days than active days and now...

    Road to Recovery Check In

Too freaking cold to go XC skiing this morning, so I saved my workout for the hotel room tonight, after a long drive. I chose to do Shock Cardio MMA Kickboxing. That's a great hotel room workout; you don't really need the 5lb hand weights to feel the core work at the end.

    Road to Recovery Check In

Catgirl, I'm so very, very sorry about your brother. That must have been a terrible shock, and huge loss, all at the same time. No one can be expected to continue with business as usual when that happens, so don't be hard on yourself. There will be time to get back on track, when you're ready...

    Road to Recovery Check In

Catgirl, I received an email update of your most recent post, but I don't see it here. That's very weird. To my knowledge, no one at Cathe.com actively moderates any of the forums (meaning, approves each post). Did you receive your new yoga dvds, and if so, who is the instructor(s)? I...

    Road to Recovery Check In

Hi Catgirl, Congratulations on sticking with the good eating. That's what's going to give you the results you want. I need to address my eating habits better, too. I need to roll back what I eat, because I'm not moving as much. I have been doing a good job of getting more fresh vegetables in my...

    Road to Recovery Check In

Catgirl - how motivating that you're seeing improvement in your stamina already! One thing at a time..... the rest will come. I've been bloated ever since I started the iron supplements last summer, and I think it's gotten worse with the IUD. But, my health is more important than my vanity. I...

    Road to Recovery Check In

I surprised myself yesterday and actually did a cardio workout: Party Rockin' Step #1. I love that step routine. It's fun, and not too high on intensity factor. In other words, it keeps you in a nice steady aerobic zone. I was longing for some nice, rhythmical movement, and it fit the bill...

    Road to Recovery Check In

Hi Renee! Yes, I remember you! I'm so terribly, terribly saddened to hear about your son. I can't even imagine what you're going through - I'm so sorry. It's good to see you still here, still posting, still talking things through. Thank you for the suggestion on the yoga. I do have a full...

    Road to Recovery Check In

Wow, good for you, Catgirl! Those are some tough workouts. I saw my gyno today for a one-month follow up from the IUD insertion. He's happy with that, but as you said, it will still be a few more months before it makes a real difference to the heavy periods. The other thing he said was that a...

    Road to Recovery Check In

Catgirl - good grief, you've been through it all, haven't you? You're an inspiration - thank you for chiming in and giving your story. I had the mirena inserted in early January. My next cycle was a bit lighter, but also longer. I'm hoping to see more change in the next month or two. If not...
