    Maternity clothes for work?

Thanks so much, y'all! I really appreciate all the advice. I ordered a suit on sale from Liz Lange, some black pants from Old Navy, and picked up a few skirts on sale at Target when I was there this morning.

    Maternity clothes for work?

Thank you all sooooo much! That is a huge help. I was really starting to feel like I was out of luck I may now be able to justify a 2 hour road trip to the nearest Nordstrom's in Rhode Island. :)

    Maternity clothes for work?

At week 14, I have just about outgrown all my work clothes. A few suits I can still get by with, since they have long jackets that cover the zipper that's not quite zipped and the hair elastic that's looped around the button. ;) This weekend I moved a lot of my favorite Ann Taylor suits to the...

    This drives me crazy!

How horribly rude! I observed the flip side of this when I ran into a former co-worker who is pregnant with her third. Her first is a girl, and her second is a boy. I asked if she was going to find out the sex of the new baby, and she said "No. I found out with him because I really wanted...

Trying to sleep on my side instead of my back

I'm 12 weeks too, and I asked about this at my last appoinment! I'd read everywhere that lying on the back causes pressure on the vena cava. My question was "So how do I stop, since I usually sleep on my back?" The nurse practicioner told me that it may be 14 or 15 weeks before this is a...

    Baby Names

    >That is something MY DH would say! He suggests names like >"Jonesy" and "Shaquille." LOL! Notice how they never suggest girls' names? I'm glad I'm not the only one who is married to a goober! My BIL's name, Derek, was suggested by my FIL, who was watching a Boston Bruins game. This...

    Baby Names

Love all these names! I've always adored the name Madeleine, but unfortunately it sort of rhymes with our last name. We're waiting until we find out the sex to start arguing about names. Right now DH is making goofy suggestions like "How about Bubba?" and while watching CSI/Miami "Why don't...

    Losing weight in late pregnancy.

I read about this in one of my pregnancy books! I think it also mentioned a reduction in amniotic fluid?

    Best news ever!!

This sounds so great! I am always intrigued by how healthcare works in Canada. Glad that this option is available to you, and so close to home too. If I didn't love my OB practice and the nurse/midwife I see there, I'd almost be tempted to move to Alberta. :)

What do, or will, your children call their grandparents?

Don't you love the names that kids come up with when they can't say "Grandma" and "Grandpa"? I had a friend who called her grandmother and great grandmother Gagi and Fafi. (???) I know of a grandfather who is Gump. And a new grandmother whose grandson won't call her anything but Bugga.

What do, or will, your children call their grandparents?

When I called to give my mother the news that she'd be a grandmother, I gave her the assignment to decide what she'd like to be called. She asked what my MIL is called by her four grandsons: Grammy. So, over a month later, my mom is uncharacteristically quiet about this! What are your...

Just met with a fertility doctor, wish us luck!!

    >Tomorrow I go in for an xray test (where they put in a >catheter and shoot dye in to check for any blockages, etc in >my tubes, etc). I have heard it's painful but I should be >okay. (the Valium they give you should help, lol) Has anyone >had this done? Yes, this is the HSG...

Carnie Wilson has a baby girl

Wendy, that's very interesting! What a lot for her to go through with the adjustment after surgery AND pregnancy at the same time. I guess that "eat six small meals a day" advice applies in either case.
