    STS twice per week..

I was just so ravenously hungry while doing it three days a week (with cardio on the others), I can't imagine how hungry I'd be doing it for six. However, I wonder if not using the 1RM makes a difference...maybe you'd end up not going quite as heavy? Now I'm intrigued!

    STS twice per week..

Wow! I had no idea some of you were doubling up. That's great. I use my 1RM, and I know I couldn't do it twice a week!

    STS twice per week..

I've done STS three times, and I would not recommend doubling up. They are very intense, and you need the rest. In my opinion, you would be risking injury and overtraining.

    WATER???

I would love to get a reverse osmosis unit. I worked in a doctor's office that had one, and I prefer the taste of water filtered like that. Because our home base is in hurricane country, we have a Berkey water filter for times when the water is not safe from the tap. It filters out everything...

    feel fit wear distracting

This thread is hilarious! I'm learning so much about all of you! I have NEVER given a thought to either the music nor the outfits Cathe and crew wear. It never even crossed my mind to think about them, much less critique them. Apparently, I am the odd one out here! On the capri issue, I do...

I hear ya. When my kids were little, 30-45 minutes was the max. It's nice to have a little more time now that they're older. It's still a huge commitment even with time to spare.

    Pace Weights

I may have gotten the two brand names mixed up. But I have both, and they are so worth the pricey shipping.

    Pace Weights

LOVE my pace weights!! Definitely get some. I have a set of 1.25 lbs, and I also have a set of ten Plate Mates that are in 1/2 lb increments. Those work really well for small muscles and also for loading single pounds onto your barbell.

The workouts take about an hour. The second and third phases take closer to 90 minutes on the cardio days. You just have to pay close attention to your rest periods and not take longer than those 30-60 seconds. I did not follow the diet because I am vegan, but it gets fairly intense as Jamie...

I love your cardio idea! I'm thinking about starting this program over again. I really liked it the first go around. Also, I forgot to mention that I did ball roll ins in addition to the lunges to get into my hamstrings a little more.

I don't have a gym membership, and I did her program last year. For the leg exercises you can sub lunges and high step ups. Or do butts and guts that day!

    Muscles Not Firm

Nope, these aren't my problems! I wish they were! My diet is really quite impeccable, and I push myself to nausea with every workout. I thought maybe a change would help me which is why I joined a gym and hired the trainer, thinking that SOMEHOW in some way I was not pushing myself hard...

    Daily Dose w/Jillian...

I was never one to hide the veggies either, though I did purée spinach and broccoli and cauliflower and put it in other dishes and even brownies. My kids LOVE cauliflower raw! They also enjoy spicy Thai food, Japanese, Chinese, sushi and Indian food. It's really fun to eat out with them...

    Daily Dose w/Jillian...

My kids have always eaten "adult" food. I always ground up whatever we were eating for meals, and fed it to my little ones. They never developed a taste for nuggets and frozen pizza and canned spaghetti because they never ate it. They ate cookies and treats sometimes, sure, but snacks to them...

working out at home vs gym

I definitely train harder at home. I've taken gym classes and even had a personal trainer for a year. Both were extremely frustrating because they didn't push me at all. My trainer was always telling me that women "don't need to train that hard" when I would tell him what I did with Cathe...

    Muscles Not Firm

So true, Stebby! No matter what my outside looks like, I'm in good shape with a strong heart and I can keep up with everything I have to and want to do. If I have any motivation at all, it's that I cringe to think of what I would look like if I stopped training if THIS body is apparently the...

I didn't follow her diet either since I'm vegan. The only grain I eat regularly is oats for breakfast, but all other carbs are fruits and veggies and a sweet potato here and there.
