I'm totally burned out and don't know what to do!

Yep! Rest, stretch, yoga, leisurely walks, swim for fun, etc. Take a week or ten days and give your body and adrenal glands a break. You'll feel so much better! I've done Insanity a couple times, and it is incredibly taxing on your adrenals and your body. You definitely need a break.

    jumping & plyo

I have fallen a couple times doing step and sprained my ankle. I don't do step or heavy legs on certain days of my cycle when my progesterone is high and my joints are loose. I just steer clear of those days! I bet your wrist will continue to improve. My daughter broke her wrist in three...

    Been gone too long, sad.

Oh, thank you! All this time I was thinking of the wrong Chris! My apologies!

    Been gone too long, sad.

I think it was almost two years ago, but I don't recall what type of cancer he had. I know it was in the forums at the time.

    Estimated calorie burn?

I run my chest strap connectors under hot water before I put it on. :) It's nice and toasty!

    jumping & plyo

Girl, you are preaching to the choir! This is exactly why I refused to jump nine risers. I only use four with Cathe, and that is plenty! Jumping seven was very unnerving, and I would never do it alone. I think I remember when you broke your wrist...was it last year? Anyway, yes! Be very...

    jumping & plyo

Ha! Well, thanks! I showed up for training one day, and he had NINE risers set up. I told him to just forget it! Seven was my max, thankyouverymuch!

    jumping & plyo

You have to get down before you can go up, so bend those knees and get power from your legs as you jump up. It takes a lot of practice! If you look at Cedie and Brenda, they are not getting as high or wide as Cathe or Jai and Lorraine. We all have our own range of motion. For the tall box...

I don't have the strength to complete Cathes workouts : (

Ha!! Yes and even yesser! And for the record, I've been doing Cathe since 2005, and while I can match her now in cardio (though not always in plié jacks!) there are only a couple workouts that I can match her in weight selection. She is the consummate professional, so don't feel pressure to...

I don't have the strength to complete Cathes workouts : (

I agree with the other two ladies. Use lighter weights (try starting with 3,5, and 8 lb dumbbells) and do the shorter premixes and fewer repetitions. It will come in time, but you can't rush it. All of us here were beginners once or have had injuries and illness that have set us way back...

    9 Most Embarrassing Exercises

Ditto to all of Natasha's picks, and I will add the supine pelvic thrust move for the glutes. I DIE. I remember doing that one both in group class and one-on-one with my trainer, and just wanting the floor to swallow me up. I AM NOT A PORN STAR!

    What is tabata drills?

They are super fun!! Knowing you only have 20 seconds really frees your mind up and allows you to push harder than you might otherwise.

    P90x vs Insanity vs Rushfit

That review of Insanity doesn't surprise me at all. I did it twice, and I am shocked I didn't hurt myself...but I did feel like I might die! Ha! And Shaun T doesn't cue well or get his muscle groups right. I have also done P90X, and it is solid. Nothing wrong with that program other than a...

    Pull Up Bar

I got mine at the local sporting goods store. It's the kind that sits on top of the door frame (same as the P90X kind). I love it! It was $30. Don't get the kind that's a tension rod type. Those are notoriously unreliable and unsafe.

Lower Body Blast vs. Butts and Guts

I didn't know that either! I've never done the premixes on that one. I should explore those more often!

    New to Cathe

Congrats on the weight loss! What an accomplishment! My suggestions would be: Any of the weight training workouts. Don't forget the weight training! Any of the Low Impact Series-- all low impact and easily modified if you need to. Every single one of those is fabulous! I am partial to...
