    Those of us 40+...

Jennifer, I totally agree with you that motivation is sometimes tough to come by! It's either my golden demanding attention, the house needing some "attention" or DH asking me about something, and I feel pulled in all directions except toward the TV/step! I don't know why, but it seems to...

Can UB work in BM 2 be a sub. for the PS UB work?

I posted this in open discussion, but realize here may be better! I'm going to start the 16 week max weight loss rotation tomorrow, but I only have Strong Legs and Abs of the PS series. Will the UB Mix and Match sections of BM 2 be a good substitute for the UB work in the PS series? I...

Can UB work on BM 2 be a sub. for PS series?

I'm going to start the 16 week max weight loss rotation tomorrow, but I only have Strong Legs and Abs of the PS series. Will the UB Mix and Match sections of BM 2 be a good substitute for the UB work in the PS series? I don't want to short change myself. Does anyone know the breakdown of...

    Those of us 40+...

Just wondering how many of us there are. I'm 46 and noticing a slight decrease in stamina, strength, etc. Maybe I just need to be more consistent, but then I worry about injury. Would love to hear from more of you and how your exercise routines have changed over the years. Doreen :-)

Help!! I feel a conspiracy is at hand!!

I hope you feel 100% soon! It took at least 2-3 weeks for my knee to stop clicking when I straightened it and it still feels inflamed when I bend it completely. I tried to keep up with anti-inflammatories and heat pads and I think that helped. It's such a crummy time to be out of commision...

Help!! I feel a conspiracy is at hand!!

The funny thing is that as soon as I pulled my gluteal muscle (decorating, not exercising) I stopped working out because everything else started going wrong. I haven't worked out in about a month and I am itching to start again, cuz I put on holiday lbs like lots of us, and my jeans are filled...

Help!! I feel a conspiracy is at hand!!

First, I pulled my left gluteal. After that began to feel better, I hurt my knee somehow-have no idea how. When my knee pain began to let up, my right shoulder began to absolutely kill me. When my shoulder finally felt better and I was thinking about which Cathe video to do, my costochondritis...

Things I DO get and really love....

Sitting in the dark with all the Christmas lights on The first cup of coffee in the morning Snuggling in bed with my golden before the alarm goes off again Going to camp that first time in the spring Coming home from work to find DH has made dinner How my family all gets along and loves...

    Things our kids say!!

One more- This happened over 30 years ago, but it still brings a smile to my face. My nephew was napping at my parents (his grandparents) house and my dad -grandpa- was getting ready to go to work (the afternoon shift). My nephew was watching him change and asked him what he was doing. "I'm...

    Things our kids say!!

While camping one weekend, we were preparing breakfast after a night of imbibing a little too much. My friend was complaining to another friend's 4 or 5 year old that her teeth felt like they had sweaters on. After a few seconds, the little girl looked very thoughtful and replied: "Why, are...

Yet Another "People and Their Comments" Thread

RE: Yet Another A few years ago I lost 45-50 lbs. and I wish I had a dollar for every time someone said to me "You look so good; how did you do it?" When I would tell them I tried to eat just about half servings (mostly because I was eating 1+ servings before) and I was exercising about 1 hr...

    Costochondritis

I think I have had it before this, after coughing, like you said, but this time it wasn't going away very easily! Have you discovered any exercises to avoid? I was told to approach things like pushups and planks with caution, and to be very careful with weight amounts; take it very light, low...

    Costochondritis

Has anyone ever had costochondritis. It's inflammation at the point where the ribs attach to the sternum. I had severe pain even just to touch, turning in bed, coughing, sneezing and inhaling. My doctor ordered many diagnostic tests including upper GI, gall bladder function, chest x-ray, and...

    bonding teeth??

Remember-invisalign will bring teeth together that have a space-your two front teeth touch, so they can not come together anymore. The space you see at the top near the gum is where the gum used to cover up the space. Please don't think this is an aesthetic fix- something may be done, but it...

I am soooo mad this morning

Carrie, I read your post with my mouth agape! I am stunned he would destroy your dvds. How devastating for you. I'm not only proud of my accomplishments with these workouts, but my collection makes me proud also. How long have you been married? Has he shown any sign of jealousy in the...

    bonding teeth??

If your teeth touch at the bottom, then it probably isn't a diastema-you have little or no papilla (the gum between the teeth that fills in that teardrop shaped space.) Are you sure you don't have periodontal disease that is causing your bone and gumline to recede? The possible corrections...

    Trouble with length of workouts

Beth, I did LIC today and had to limit my time too. I did the warmup, Circuit cycles 1 and 2, about 1/2 the bonus cardio (the phone rang), abs and the stretch. it was just about 55 minutes, but you could skip the bonus cardio and get a good workout in about 45-50 mins. You could save the...
