    CTX: Kickbox-My thoughts...ouch! lol

    I just did CTX kickbox last night, too. The first kick-box I ever tried was KPC and wow, was I ever flailing around feeling like an idiot. THEN, I tried CTX kickbox and found that it really helped me to improve my form. After doing it a couple times, I really felt the soreness and the "burn"...

    Cute Google Pictures

    I thought I was the only one who noticed and appreciated little touches like that. :-) The one I like is with the polar bears sprayig water on the "o's" of google to make icecicles. Isn't it great to find joy in such simple little things? Anna

    Trevor, quick question.

    Hey Marla! I love working out alone, too, and let my gym membership expire because of it. But, also like you, I decided to rejoin the gym to work heavy legs. I go once a week, do my leg workout and leave. It is actually kind of fun to get out "among the masses" once a week, I have found...

    using a personal trainer

    Thanks for the insight on a trainer. I've got to tell you: when I met with him for the preliminary "get to know you" session, and he asked about my current exercise routine, I told him I was addicted to Cathe. He didn't know who she was. Him: You really need to do some stability ball...

    using a personal trainer

    I'm considering adding the "one on one" attention of a trainer to my Cathe routine, BUT, am wondering if Cathe is already teaching me everything he will -- especially since I have 11 brand new DVDs coming soon. :-) Anyone out there worked with a personal trainer and found it to be a...

    How Long to Master Stepping?

    I am very klutzy and have never been the dancer type, so when I first watched Imax2, I had the same reaction. BUT, if you watch it in little segments and practice the moves, rewind and do it again, go through it in slow motion if you have that option, you'll get it.The first few times you do...

    rubber mats and a kickbox question

    Thanks for the kickboxing encouragement. I do have KPC,but gave up on it after just a few times because I wasn't feeling any "burn" in my upper body. But now I'm determined to keep at it -- for the variety if nothing else. Thanks for assuring me that with practice I'll get that intensity I'm...

    rubber mats and a kickbox question

    Hey JAfitmama! Yes, I put my mats over my carpet and, maybe it's my imagination, but I seem to have more energy during the workout and no aches and pains afterwards. (that last part ISN"T my imagination) :-) Thanks for the link. I would love to be able to do what Cathe was suggesting --...

    rubber mats and a kickbox question

    I have gotten SO much useful advice from y'all, the latest of which resulted in my purchase of those interlocking rubber mats for my exercise area. Someone mentioned getting some at Home Depot, but if you DON'T have mats yet and DO have a Sam's Club nearby, they sell 8 packs for $16.00 . I...

    Firm Instructors

    I recently abandoned Firm world (where I lived for 2 years) for Cathe (in May) and I remember the day I got my BSS3 tapes how shocked I was at Christa and one other. (can't remember her name -- she rejoined the Firm instructors from the old days) In previous videos they looked healthy, but...

    Favorite/Least Fav moves

    I just finished reading all the fun favorite Cathe sayings, and I have to share my LEAST favorite step move. It used to be the Peg Leg Mambo with a turn, but I finally got that and now it's fun just like she said it would be :-) NOW, I hate the "tap dance up" move in Cardio and Weights...
