    MIC kicked my BUTT!

    The hi-lo is my favorite part and really the only one I do. I'm not a fan of the step routine. I do it on days when I can't get out for a 30 min run because I get an endorphin rush, similiar to a runners high, when I do it.

    Well, we can commiserate together because I woke up this morning and my backside hasn't felt this bad in years!!! And I went light with the weights! Tell me Regina, should I expect this DOMS after every leg workout in Meso 1???

    I didn't notice what the guys were lifting for legs today, just the upper body routines when they were doing traditional arm exercises like tricep kickbacks, bicep curls, stuff like that. They were masters at push ups and pullups though.

    Well, I really dread heavy weight training for lower body but this one wasn't bad! I bulk up easily so I kept the weights light and still felt the burn--so I know I wasn't dogging it! I ran out of time and skipped the bonus stuff (which on preview looks to be my fave), but I'll do it tomorrow...

    I was hoping they'd have the bands but they don't. That's the only thing I'm interested in right now. I may check out the weighted vest if they have it at the store. This way I can avoid shipping charges.

    Opinions on KickMax?

    I like this workout when separated in parts, but I never do it as a whole because it's too disjointed. I'll do the drills as an add-on, or when I want a quick calorie burn. They're also great when I want to do HIIT, as I'll pause the DVD between drills and walk around to lower my heart rate...

    Cardio Kicks

    When I first got this DVD I wasn't thrilled with CK or Circuit Max, but I revisited them about a year ago and I agree with others, it's more fun than I remembered. I've also come to love hi-lo and circuit workouts over the years, so that could have something to do with it.

    This is bugging me too. It's obvious the guys are lifting lighter weights than Cathe and crew in most exercises. Otherwise, I'm very happy w/ this series.

    Speaking of Kickboxing-DVD Advice

    The only one I have on your list is Tracey S. KBSF. I love Strike Zone but I find Sweatfest to be too repetitive. Check out the clip on her site because it is a good deal now, and it is intense. I just find it a little tedious due to the repetition.

    Why is the music out of sync with the exercises?

    In Meso 1, which is the only one I've done so far, Cathe only counts out the first few reps. She then goes on to talk about other things and leaves the counting up to the background exercisers for the most part.

    The only time I find it annoying is during the warm up. Otherwise I ignore it, as I don't really look at the TV when I lift. Haven't check it yet but is Plyo Legs on beat with the music? I hope so as that's more aerobic and I have a feeling I'll need a driving beat to keep me going.

    Fear of flying?

    Just thought I'd let you all know that there's a terrific website for those who fear flying that has a great message forum. It's www.takingflight.us/forums. The people on there are very supportive and helped me get over my fear of flying.
