Hi Colette,
I subscribe and I really like it. It's more of a newsletter than magazine. They usually include scientific studies on current fitness trends which is great... and no advertising!
Here's a link to give you a better idea:

Saw highlights on the news... Jennifer Connelly and Gwyneth Paltrow looked AWFUL! I hardly recognized Gwyneth... what was with that dress??? Jennifer Connelly's dress looked tatterred (sp?) and just hung there on her. And Cameron Diaz... did she just roll out of bed and go to the show? Yikes...
Hi everyone!
Did you guys run or run/walk this week?
I got 25 miles in! I had a terrific 10-miler on saturday. I was in a running zen! Just didn't want to stop. This morning I did hill repeats for 20 mins... oooh I know my hams are gonna feel it tomorrow :) I have a 5K coming up in a few...
Hi Candice,
Sounds like you've got quite a varied cardio program there. I remember reading something cathe posted about keeping a varied cardio program for fat loss, and changing it around every few weeks to challenge your metabolism. Sounds like that's what you're doing. But you're right...
shoes
Hi Kandey, congratulations on starting a running program! Like everyone else said, start out slow and pay attention to your body. A walk/run program is an excellent way to start.
As far as shoes go, may I suggest going to a running specialty store in your area? They will help you choose...
I've heard of this. It's a relatively new term but there is growing research on the subject. I've also heard of "orthorexia" where someone is obsessed with eating healthy and "dietary purity." A friend of mine is currently seeking help for this disorder, as she has gone from a healthy concern to...
Counting blessings is a great idea. Mine are fairly simple:
1. I'm healthy
2. I can walk & run
3. My mother, brother & sister are healthy & always there for me
4. My husband is supportive, loving and makes me laugh
5. I have a very good job
6. Not only do I live in america, but I live in...
Erica - I totally agree with you on the asics! They've always been my favorite shoes, and I've been wearing gel cumulus the last 3 years. I tried the 2060s and they felt really heavy and bulky. But that's a stability shoe for you. I'm training for a 1/2-marathon in october and a full marathon in...
Hi everyone!
Did you guys get a run or run/walk in this week? I got 20 miles in. Good long run on saturday (8 miles) but I got my period that morning (ugh!) so I ran much slower than usual. I was still out there though! I got a new book called Marathoning Start to Finish by Patti & Warren...
Annette,
I regularly make hard-boiled eggs on sundays and keep 'em in the fridge peeled so my husband & I can grab 'em & go. They last all week. I keep them in tupperware. The only thing I would wonder about is keeping them in tinfoil for a few days. May give them a weird taste, I'm not sure...
RUNNING!
There's nothing like running to shape your calves. The one part of me that has always been shapely are my calves because I've been running for a long time. Even before I started weight training, I had sculpted calves.
(Now if I can just get the rest of me to match... :)

Cathe... I hope you aren't offended by this thread! I meant it in all kindness & fun! :)
We dread certain moves... but we do 'em because they're so darn effective!!!!!
THANKS for being such a super sport!!!!
