    Stability Ball and shorter women

I'm 5'2" and I started with a 55" ball but found that it was too small. I swapped to the 65". I have quite long legs for my height and the 65" enables me to sit with my legs at a right angle which the smaller one didn't. Emma

Has anyone used a video/dvd or anything else that has really helped their back pain?

Bam - yes, BB is Beach Body. I got my DVD through Mary at Total Fitness. I'm going to post on my results towards the end of my 30 sessions. Emma

Your 3 most effective ab moves?

I've been getting some nice results from using the Fitness Fix Intermediate core section. Lots of stability ball work and some planks, of course! Emma

Has anyone used a video/dvd or anything else that has really helped their back pain?

I like Viniyoga for Upper back and shoulders (I've had shoulder problems), Classical Stretch for Back Pain Relief provides temporary relief, as do most of the CS's, and feels really good IMO (you can sometimes find CS's on Ebay for cheaper than the website) and I've recently been using a foam...

New Ryka Studio Mid Flex shoes

Denise - what is the instep support like on these. I started with the studio N-gage which had good instep support, then moved to the instructor (which look alot like the ones you've posted) and the instep support is not as good. Thanks Emma

    Cathe vs Amy Bento?

I think Amy's step is on a level with Cathe's steady state stuff, intensity-wise, but Amy's choreo is much more difficult (for me anyway!). I have KBX and Into the Ring - I've had shoulder problems, so haven't done the former for a while but I think it's fun & (for the same reason!) I've only...

    Did Slumdog deserve best picture??

I've seen Slumdog and thought it was a wonderful film, very uplifting (and sad in places) and with great performances and fantastic cinematography. It deserved to win, all the more so because it was made with such a small budget (like most British films) and was originally going to go...

is some cardio also a leg workout?

After doing Lowmax the other day, I'd definitely say yes! Emma

    What is next?

Are there any Cathe fans in the UK?

Hi Ronne! I've just looked in my Physical Company brochure (yes, they do a brochure - hours of endless fun!!), I can't see the high step, although they have just got slanted risers in and I've definitely bought separate risers from them, so they may have the High step. I bought a foam roller...

Are there any Cathe fans in the UK?

Another UK Cathe fan here! I'm near Brighton. I've been using Cathe since about the late 90's. I agree that we don't have much equipment choice over here. I have discovered the Physical Company in High Wycombe & if ever I need anything I pick it up when I'm travelling up M40, usually on the way...

Frustrated with Amy Bento's ASC II!

I have ASC2 and 3 and found 3 much easier to learn. I've only done it twice but have almost got it all now. I think the first two sections are less intense than anything on ASC2! I still have trouble with some of ASC3 though, especially when I haven't done it for a while. I find that I have...

Singing the Praises of Foam Rollers

Is it hard to manoeuvre yourself around on a foam-roller when working on your back? I've got Petrone Balls & you just lie still on those and wait for something to happen!:) Emma

    Is anyone NOT ordering STS?

I'm recovering from a shoulder impingement (plus a bit of bicep tendonitis), so decided not to order STS. It's partly because of this as I think I will have to rethink my whole weightlifting routine, so I'm not sure how STS would fit in to this at the moment. It's also alot of money to spend...

"You Are What You Eat" BBCA

RE: Glad you're all enjoying Gillian Mc - she's quite a scary figure over here in the UK with her poo obsession! Please don't think we all eat as badly as the people they show on this programme!;-) Emma

    Other instructors step workouts

I would go for Athletic Step Jam and/or ASC2. I've got a couple of Seasun's DVD's but have to confess I haven't tried them yet as the choreo looks a bit complicated (one day!). However, I managed to get ASC2 quite well. Athletic Step Jam is great, you wouldn't regret getting this if you like...
