Morning all! Did Leaner legs this morning, some supplemental exercises for my inner thighs, and 20 minutes on the treadmill. Am trying to expand my jogging time...am up to 5 minutes out of the 20, and my breathing is much better. Eating yesterday was not on target...I had made lots of...

    Anyone over 59 doing Cathe?

RE: Susan... I am 60, have been doing Cathe for almost two years, especially the strength videos. Have bad knees so can't do step, am awful at anything choreographed, but love the weight tapes and the kickboxing. I adapt what I have trouble with, but working with Cathe makes me feel...

    Knee Replacement Surgery

My 54 yr old sister-in-law just had both knees partially replaced. It is a new procedure....she had it done in Boston. They insert a wedge in each knee. Her recovery has been long...had physical therapy for a month and a half, and started water exercise but she still feels uncomfortable...

    Questions for AM exercisers

I wake, dress, walk the dog (generally at 6 am), then go down to workout. I keep a big container of water for hydration next to my workout area. After working out I stretch, then have breakfast, which is usually a protein shake with fruit. Hope this helps.

    Karen Voight facelift??

Could it be that she is on cortisone for some private health reason?...my daughter has lupus and when she was on prednisone her face got much rounder, as did her body, though she was still slender. It seems to me it is too easy to malign someone for their supposed superficiality when you don't...

My Visit With the Nutrition Consultant

McCann's steel cut oatmeal normally takes a long time to cook but someone told me a great hint so that it can be cooked in the microwave---soak it overnight in water, and it will soften enough to be cooked in the microwave like Quaker's old fashioned oatmeal--which I usually cook for 2.5 min...

what's your STUPIDEST beauty related blunder?.....

Oh, what a funny thread! It brought back memories of when I decided to have my brunette hair dyed golden blonde. Unfortunately, with my olive complexion, the yellow hair made my face look jaundiced, so I decided that since I had spent all that money I couldn't afford to go back and have it...

    cindy rae on oprah

As a 60+ year old, I find cindy rae's transformation wonderful. I discovered the site last month, read her transformation and I even printed it out and put it on my bathroom door. What I love is the real joy she shows in her contest, as opposed to the others who have manufactured smiles---she...

Francine: Repost your Bun & Thigh Rocker routine??

Francine, I feel really dumb, but I'm not sure I understand what you mean with the B&TR exercise breakdown. When you say cardio, do you mean feet in the center of the foot platform, and quick pulsations? When you add the weights, where are they--in your lap? And when you say feet to the...

    Question GetnFit@38

You might want to look at the Tamilee Webb "I want those arms/abs/butt" series. They each have two sequences of only 15 minutes long, and they start with light weights, so aren't very threatening. As someone else said, it might be a good idea for her to start with something not too...

    Help! I am so depressed!

Bobbi, I know people on the Cathe website often look to other exercise routines as not their style, but as someone who went the same route as you with pf, I did find an exercise routine that worked for me--it's t-tapp. I had the cortisone shots, wear orthotics, stretched my calves and massaged...

    Got biopsy results...

Sherry, as a five year survivor of breast cancer, I want to encourage you to keep up your spirits and move forward with positive thinking. As people have said, the prognosis is so much better today with early diagnosis and all the new tools that are available. And a correction to what people...
