    What are YOU reading???

    >Andrea.. The Road is a good book, but very different than >anything I ever read. It was a hard read in spots! > >~Chris Chris, I agree with you about The Road. I got half way through and decided to stop reading it (which is something I rarely do). By the way, I also loved Water...

    MP3 Recommendations for Running

Hi Vrinda, This leads me to a question about the Video/Audio choice... How does one 'see' what is on their player if their MP3 does not have a screen? I'm a very 'visual' person and I think I would need to see my playlist in order to use it most effectively, which would make me lean...

    My illicit affair

Nancy, For me, his name is Teddy. I don't know if he's just local to my area (Boston) but he is my "one and only" . I realized that he and I had to tone things down when my DH pointed out that I was on my 2nd (yes 2nd!!!) jar in as many weeks! Now he's pushed to the back of the...

    Decorative glass bowl ideas?

This will only work if you're a knitter...I filled one of my glass vases with left over balls of my favorite yarns. The colors and textures are amazing and they look beautiful sitting together in the glass vase. I also have a gorgeous wooden bowl filled with more of my favorite yarn. I love...

    MP3 Recommendations for Running

Vrinda, Gosh, thanks again for all this great information! My head is spinning with all of this news. I'm sure I'll be back looking for more advice once I get started. I'm leaning towards the re-built Nanos at the moment, but I'm going to take the time to explore each of the MP3 suggestions...

NEW PUPPY ... BUT NO NAME YET! (HELP?)

We named our dog Woody, but he's a big, clunky, yellow lab and the name suits him perfectly. However, we sometimes call him Puddin' and I think that would be cute for a Yorkie...your own little Yorshire Puddin'! I also like the name Putter for a small dog. So Puddin' or Putter are my votes :-)

    MP3 Recommendations for Running

    >Andreasue - I'd go with something larger than a 1 gb. You're >going to fill that up fairly quickly with Cardio Coaches and >iTrain workouts and won't have any memory left for your music. > I have a 2 gb Nano that I use exclusively for workouts and >another iPod that I use for music, etc...

Vrinda, WOW!!! Thank you so much for the fabulous information and links for the various MP3s. I've spent hours on the net researching MP3s but didn't find any deals as good as the ones you mentioned! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this MP3 "Tutorial". You have all been...

    MP3 Recommendations for Running

Thanks Jacque and Thomasina, The IPod Nano is a little more than I wanted to spend. The Creative Zen looks good. I also found a Sansa that looked good. What do you think of this description? It's only $60.00 (seems like a good price). Here's the description (from Amazon.com): <<Take...

    MP3 Recommendations for Running

The posts about Cardio Coach have me thinking that it might be time to buy my first MP3 player. I need something to shake up my running routine and this sounds like the ticket! Sadly, I am in the technological dark ages and I could use some advice. I'm just looking for something simple to...

Do Perfect Push-up Handles work on carpet?

    >If these are the ones that I see all over the stores, you can >get them at Linens 'N' Things or Bed, Bath & Beyond and use >their 20% off coupon. They sell for $20 at those stores also. >I've been eyeing them but haven't paid too much attention to >them. Maybe now I will and at $16 bucks...

    Cardio Coach Sale

<<Andreasue - I'm not sure how you'd use them in a pool, since you need to listen while you work out and I don't know if there are any mp3 players you can wear while swimming>> Just shows you how technologically challenged I am. I was thinking that waterproof MP3s would be fairly standard...

    Cardio Coach Sale

I'm not familiar with these workouts but they look like they could be refreshing and fun. One question...my boss, an avid runner, has plantar fascitis (sp?) and has been unable to run. She does use an eliptical and also swims but finds them less challenging than a run. I was thinking that...
