    Shingrix

Medicare doesn't cover this, but my health insurance did with a $40 copay. Medicare doesn't cover the TDaP vaccine either, but my insurance did with a $40 copay. I needed to get it before I meet my almost here new grandson.

    loved Fit Tower Light!

Yes--the changes in height are few, and you don't need to do pushups on the tower.

    loved Fit Tower Light!

Cathe, I am 71 with a total knee replacement last fall and have been doing your videos and DVDs since the 80s and your step workouts. I look for Ingrid for low impact modifications always. Thanks, I am in good shape.

    Shingrix

It was only 24 hours but I was very achy. I really do not want shingles after seeing some of my friends dealing with lasting rashes so sensitive they could not wear even soft clothing.

    Shingrix

I had the first of my two shots on Friday, and was really achy all over for 24 hours. Felt great today, though. Anyone else with experience on this vaccination?

    loved Fit Tower Light!

I did this one today and really enjoyed the pacing and difficulty. I would characterize this one as intermediate. Cathe gives you some relief with intermittent water breaks and stretches. It was perfect. I will definitely be doing this one again. Oh, and I have the old tower, but there are only...

    Loving fit/split except for abs...

I don't have wrist issues, but I just don't want to do this one again. Major dread will prevent me.

    Premixes for upper body?

I did the 42 min. upper body premix on Muscle Max today and chose it because it moves slowly--Cathe seems more teacherly on this one. I will do this one for awhile, increasing some of my weights as I become more confident. Thanks for all the suggestions!

    Premixes for upper body?

Thanks so much Lisa and Clare! I will pull those out for review.. I do remember the pyramid upper body and high reps being favorites.

    Premixes for upper body?

I have all of Cathe's dvds, but before my knee replacement I never explored the premixes. I am now doing Leslie Sansone for my cardio in addition to PT after 8 weeks and alternating with some upper body weights, but I would really like to know if there are some Cathe upper body premixes I could...

    knee replacement?

Hi Valerie and Lori-- I am now past the 5 week mark and doing some lunges with 5 lb. weights and little zig zag runs through cones and lots of squats on the balance board. Walking without a cane in 20 minute intervals. What really bothers me is just standing for more than 30 minutes at a time...

    knee replacement?

Yesterday I started driving--yay! I really do need to get to my office for some endnote corrections on an article that I edited, screwing up the notes. My therapist has not recommended a foam roller, but he does want me to put my heel on a rolled up towel, leg elevated and foot flexed and press...

    knee replacement?

I wish progress were that magically forward moving, Valerie. But the scar tissue contracts over night and I wake up stiff and in need of some serious stretching. Today at PT I did squats on a balance board (it tips back and forth unless you can hold it steady)while barely touching a barre and...

    knee replacement?

No, I keep a journal, but it is notably free of statistics--no steps or calories counted, heart rate, 1 rep max, spread sheets of my dvds--not me. I did have to keep track of all the drugs I was taking and found that really boriing--2 weeks of 2 325 mg. Aspirin per day, then 1 week 1 aspirin per...

    knee replacement?

Valerie, you are right about gait. My left knee just kept turning inward, so I was very knock kneed and my leg was never completely straight. As a result, the muscles on my outside thigh and knee must now lengthen to accommodate my very straight knee. PT is essential here and I really feel it...

    knee replacement?

Valerie, I know people who sailed out of hip replacements with very little if any PT, but TKR really needs the work. If herMIL needed corrective surgery on a hip replacement, that is a whole different story. I have a friend with two TKR and two hip replacements (we call her the bionic woman!)...

    knee replacement?

I am now walking without a cane very slowly and carefully but it feels like a big achievement. PT is very rigorous and parts of it can only be described as so painful it brings tears to your eyes. Every session begins with manual pressure to straighten the leg in 10 second intervals. I am...

    knee replacement?

Thanks Lori! I should probably thank Cathe because I have done only her workouts since ICE and streaming--2 years straight and 6 days a week or whenever that series came out--lots of streaming, so many choices.

    knee replacement?

One week out of the hospital and my second pt--1 hour of quite painful manual manipulation and tons of exercises including 45 assisted squats and ten minutes on a bike that amazed my therapist because at first it was like climbing a steep hill and then I just started pedaling like it was fun. He...
