Rep count--do you like surprises or do you want to know the number?

I count breaths (or steps) in tens, so I never have more than ten to go.

Yoga Warrior or The Ultimate Yoga DVD Set?

Wow, that really is a deal. Fair warning, I was like complik8td, and had barely got the shrink wrap off, only to fail to do even one. But that is the beauty of yoga. It confronts all your attachments & aversions. Truth be told I had much more success with any and all programs, after practicing...

Yoga Warrior or The Ultimate Yoga DVD Set?

Enjoy! Thought it might be useful. Deepen Your Practice might be useful too, at some point. :)

Yoga Warrior or The Ultimate Yoga DVD Set?

I thought that too. So I wrote you a poem (and anyone else that wants a short practice) Surya Namaskara A (5X’s) - A Poem Be Humble. - Hands in Prayer. Be Quiet. - Hands Up. Inhale. Listen. - Forward Fold. Exhale. Hear God. - Head Up. Inhale. Have Faith. - Walk or...

Yoga Warrior or The Ultimate Yoga DVD Set?

I think Travis goes a little faster, and does everything one side, then the other. And those are just over an hour. Sounds good. I didn't know if DYP would be out of reach. I'll add to X-mas list [unless Udaya does BlkFriday, then it's all over] :0 I'm rather attached to YW365 at the moment...

Yoga Warrior or The Ultimate Yoga DVD Set?

For me, it's like meditation, strength, mobility, flexibility all wrapped up into one. I regularly do hour long yoga sessions and rarely clock watch. I do however warm up with a little Zumba or other cardio before, because I'm "blessed" with stiffness, seems to make the yoga a little easier...

Yoga Warrior or The Ultimate Yoga DVD Set?

I have both, I did the first phase and part of the second of Ultimate Yogi in 2013, and was running at the same time, building mileage, then quit yoga and my mileage shot up. I didn't think I got much out of it at the time. [?] Tried YW365, no love for it the first time. Picked it up though this...

Strong Lifts 5 X 5 or Starting Strength Aficionados?

I would need to go to a club to get the most out of it; conditioning though, may have to look into that one. I'm trying to downsize, I don't want any more equipment, maybe a new yoga mat, that's portable. :)

Strong Lifts 5 X 5 or Starting Strength Aficionados?

Thanks for the clarification, I was just looking at one and didn't realize there were different editions & II.

Strong Lifts 5 X 5 or Starting Strength Aficionados?

I'm guessing that would be a Crossfit forum? following along that thought, the Tactical Barbell Elsie mentioned kinda of does read like crossfit-ish. Not a bad thing. Where they put things together, all in one, I have separated them out, yearly or seasonally, at my uniquely pedestrian pace...

Strong Lifts 5 X 5 or Starting Strength Aficionados?

Thanks Elsie, hadn't heard of that, kind of like a sequel to the two I mentioned, & more malleable. I'm still motivated by videos, and canned plans for consistency. I can cut & paste with them.

Strong Lifts 5 X 5 or Starting Strength Aficionados?

I'm not sure if a program written by women for women is all that important to me. I am familiar with both of these and was more interested in them not something similar or different, and interested the people who may have done them. Thanks for the additional info.

Strong Lifts 5 X 5 or Starting Strength Aficionados?

Anyone ever follow either of these protocols for barbell training? Always seems like such an efficient way to strength train. If so, what were your results over time? Every so often I find myself drawn to pure lifting systems, not for bulk or body building, just sheer strength.

Brett Hoebel 90 day 20 minute Body

I think Target sells a single vide with 4 workouts & a free download, might be the beginning level of the series, IDK. It's an economical way to try out his style. I think I only did one of those and went in a different direction. didn't Tony Horton chat up Bret's book a while back? I don't know...

    22 MINUTE HARD CORPS

I have done a few, P90X, still a favorite. Chalene Extreme, another good one. Bought a discounted Turbofire, but did not follow through the entire series. I've been interested in many, T25, P90X3, Insanity, Asylum, even Piyo. Held back by trying or already doing something similar in focus or...

    22 MINUTE HARD CORPS

Karen, exactly, I heart Tony, I actually do have his P90, and that's good for me in weights/cardio. My formula this year has been light cardio warm ups followed by main workout & sometimes a finisher, depending on length, I do like getting outside more too. That original P90X yoga was probably...

    22 MINUTE HARD CORPS

I think my spark came from 1) meditation nearly everyday for a year with a focus on breathing and 2) doing workouts that were outside my wheelhouse, challenging both physically and to be okay with "it's enough". As always, consistent exercise year round, 6-7 days a week. YW365 is really good.

    22 MINUTE HARD CORPS

You know Tony, and his love-the-yoga, kidding, I tried yoga every which way you can, and never really got comfortable with it, chalking it up to inflexibility, anatomy, each time though I got through a little more, then less. Totally frustrating. Half way through Ultimate Yogi, bailed, then...
