    Yoga Experiences...please share

Been gone for a while, but have seen some of your other posts and can give you some feedback, if you're still interested in the other stuff. I did 2 rounds of P 90 X 3 last year and that's 30 minutes, obviously, you do yoga once a week, and it's good. It might not seem like much but you also do...

    Wireless Mics for Group Instructors

Think of it this way, a scientist who is invested in the result so much so that he unintentionally directs only the results that support his hypothesis, missing the opportunity to have even greater returns, for everyone. Go with the mic & wing it. Double bump. :)

    Wireless Mics for Group Instructors

What's the difference? I thought in videos the earpiece was a prompter? and the mic, just a mic? Which made me think the earpiece would be more technically specific, and the mic more spontaneous? It's always a little weird when you go into stores and you don't know if you're talking to the...

Over 40 trying to get the muscle back

I have Intu-flow, the set is two dvds, 4 practices, beginner to master. I only went as far as advanced but used it many times in the past. I'm using intermediate ATM. Prasara Instructional Series "A" Flows is yoga and the companion book (both are well done, I haven't used the yoga for some time...

Over 40 trying to get the muscle back

Wow, Dirtdiva good for you! I'm impressed that's some serious time on the bike too. I tended in the past to avoid Pilates, because I was getting caught up in routines that I wasn't ready for. Over time though I became open to other things. T.A. became my dynamic stretch (and more). I have what...

Over 40 trying to get the muscle back

No not just physical training, your previous post in it's entirety. I was just making the point that we all try many things, and it takes time to find the things that work for us. I come from a sports background, but for many years, my exercise came from my jobs, often times very physical, with...

Over 40 trying to get the muscle back

I'm sorry, Joni-o is a V-Fer synonymous with, if you not liking the dvd your doing, toss it. I felt like maybe you should do something you really like, if that's lifting heavy, do it. There is no right or wrong, no fitness police. You should be okay with whatever you decide to do, you're okay...

Over 40 trying to get the muscle back

I'm surprised Ivy, at the "waste of time" comment. What was it that made you continue so long with something you say now was not useful? As far as that goes there have been several programs and techniques I've spent time doing and go back to, each time, finding something new or interesting about...

Still having a hard time with this getting old stuff!

Sorry too, to hear of death in your family cocob1, you are inspiring. I'm in denial, but it's nice to know all your thoughts and experiences as we face a new chapter. I'm not sad, in fact, I feel better prepared. I may not handle it all with grace, but we all have 50 years of experience to draw...

    Cathe Announcement

maybe we should start guessing, you know someone said they didn't like x, and now she's going to focus on x, I expect they'll be some moaning. j/k I said Pilates, don't blame me if...

    CLUTCH - CUT

Not really ready for a program, just functional exercises, but worth a look just the same. I ran across CC when looking for medicine ball workouts. Don't know if they still carry them but Ollie's Good Stuff Cheap had 20 lb everlast for 15$. It's a rubber non bouncing slam ball.

    Vitamix???

Question, does the Vitamix always heat stuff up that you blend? If so, how hot? the only thing I noticed is they are quite loud. The butter & flour making idea is cool.

On Demand workout blender gets my vote; versatile, economical, and more than enough content for workouts you will personally use.

    22 Minute Hard Corps.

I don't blame people, it just means they don't want more "stuff". I didn't realize I was such a pack rat. Occasionally Amazon will have a offer to buy that's not bad, might be an easier way to purge. Even so, there are some specific things I want to try or do that still only exist in dvd or books.
