    Cathe's STS 2.0 Upper Body 1 Workout

Snowlover, I can relate. If I do manage to slip in a workout, I end up doing yoga in an effort to loosen up my aching back. Thank goodness for Cathe's premixes and her perfect 30. I think those short yoga sessions are the only thing that's keeping me walking in an upright position. Snow is a LOT...

    STS Bars?

I can't help with the size on the bars, because I don't have them. No room (shedding a tear:-(, because I don't have the room. So sad. I can tell you, though, that the bar pad is a great investment. I don't use it, because I don't lift heavy enough to worry about it. I got it for my husband. He...

    Suggestions for mats & rollers?

My living room is my workout area, so, yeah, I kind of have to make it work. My bookcases have baskets of bands in them. My weights are tucked under a desk in another room. You don't even want to know what all I have stowed in my poor dog's feeding area, which is also a pantry/laundry room...

    Cathe's STS 2.0 Upper Body 1 Workout

Oh, that makes sense. Good, I need all the help I can get. I thought it was to make it more challenging, which I wasn't sure I was up to. I already have a small dog that sometimes climbs on my back while I'm doing planks or pushups. lol Thanks DeeDee!

    STS Bars?

Aaaah! Not the bars! I just saw them on the site as well as the coupon. I don't have room for them. I've been having to periodically shake myself to keep myself from buying the weight plates with the grips, because I'm out of room. Hmmmm. Maybe I should move to a bigger house? Yeah, that seems...

Post your STS 2.0 questions here!

That's a really good question. I measured my metal ones, as I don't have the Cathe ones. My 10lb weights are apprx. 9" in diameter. So, that would only leave me 4 1/2" (not even figuring the bar width) to slip under. Vinyl weights are usually a bit bigger in order to be able to fill them with...

    STS 2.0 Fierce Faces

Oh my! I don't know whether to feel challenged or intimidated by those faces! I can see why there's going to be a strong focus on recovery. lol

    Cathe's STS 2.0 Upper Body 1 Workout

Neat! I'm familiar with using the bands for pushups (across back - using weight of hands to hold them down), but I've never thought to loop them around my upper arms. I'm having trouble imagining what muscles that challenges, so I guess I'll have to try it to find out. :)

Rest day vs. Active recovery day

I think I understand the difference between a rest day and an active recovery day, but what I need to know is this... are both absolutely necessary? As I age, I'm loving active recovery days. A gentle hike (in warm weather), Tai Chi, gentle yoga, long stretch sessions, Classical...

    News Flash

Cathe, I wish you a full and quick recovery. I have very small hands, carpal tunnel, and a bad shoulder. Plus, I'm getting older (although I'm in denial about that:-). Anyways, I found a product that helps me open jars quite easily. It simply breaks the vacuum - making the jar very easy to open...

    Equip. info/demos on Facebook page

Not on Facebook, so thanks for letting us know. Those dip bars are tempting, but I'd have to give up my Fit Tower to make room. It took me 2 years to find that Fit Tower, and my husband drove half way across the the country to pick it up for me. It was definitely worth it, so I'm keeping it. I...

    Will Recovery workouts be chaptered?

I'm guessing they will be. I mean, I'm thinking it might not always be easy to see the TV from some of the positions, so just the ability to push that rewind button the the remote that takes you back to the beginning of a chapter quickly (rather than all the way to the beginning of the workout...

    Foam roller workouts

I don't know the answer, so hopefully Cathe will see your question and respond. I just wanted to let you know that my chiropractor swears by foam rolling for the back, but when I first tried it, it was very painful for me. He suggested that I modify it by using the roller for my back against the...

To anyone in the path of the hurricane

Firemedic, I'm so glad that things are looking up for you. I hope you had a chance to see your doctor about your shoulder? It sounds like you haven't had much time for yourself, but it would be a good idea to get assurance from your doctor that it will heal on its own or find out if you need...

We've Now Finished The Filming Of STS Muscle & Recovery!

Yes! That list is exactly what I've been looking for in the way of recovery. Thank you Cathe! Thank you for keeping us updated, and now that you're done filming, I hope you and the crew have a chance for some recovery of your own. :)

Question re Sets to Failure on Unilateral Movements

When I'm lifting light, I start with my right side, which is what most Cathe DVDs seem to do for most exercises. When I'm lifting heavy, I start with my left (weaker side) first and then match the reps with my right (dominant/strong) side. I figure changing it around every so often is probably...

Input on others suggestions for upcoming STS video display

Yeah, the doctors had me try that until they figured out my actual diagnosis. After diagnosing me with Neurally mediated syncope they tried putting me on the medications that help most people with the condition, but I had a severe allergic reaction to one, and the other dropped my blood pressure...

Fit Split is Kicking My Butt

AVeyRa, I hear you. I went through this mindset change years ago. Every once in awhile... I still have to give myself a little shake (or kick in the butt), and remind myself to workout smarter. I ended up not choosing between pushing myself too hard or telling myself this is too hard. I gave...
