    Loreal- animal testing

No, cosmetics and such DON'T have to be tested on animals. I just read where fertilizer, weed killer and any household product that claims to be antibacterial or 'germ killing' DOES have to be tested on animals. :( A good reason for avoiding them, IMO.

    Wrists hurt while doing push-ups

    Gotcha! :)

    Wrists hurt while doing push-ups

In addition to Perfect Pushups or hex dumbbells (so they won't roll) or push-up handlebars, you can also try doing some moves on your knuckles (wrist straight, as if you're 'punching' the floor). Wearing wrist wraps (or gloves with built-in wrist wraps) can help support the wrist. Stretching...

    Loreal- animal testing

And because companies know that most people are against animal testing, they label their products with half-truths to deceive and sell. "ABC company does not conduct animal testing" usually means ÄBC company pays XYZ company for animal testing results". "This product not tested on animals"...

    Loreal- animal testing

If you look online for "Pom animal testing," you can get info on the HORRIBLE animal tests that were done for pomegranate juice (no longer done, due to uproar and protests by customers). You'd think by now these companies would be done with animal testing. Other companies can do it, why can't...

Chia seeds (which one to buy?)

They are all pretty much the same. I recommend organic, whole chia (not ground). I usually buy Nutiva in bulk (3# bags from Amazon), but will get other brands as well, depending on price. There are also white chia seeds, but there is no nutritional difference between them and black seeds...

    Bouncy trouncy baby goats!

It's a bit late for the music, but I thought these goats were so cute! I never knew goats were so bouncy! (May they inspire you to work out!). A GIGGLE with the GOATS Jingle Bells Holiday Performance - YouTube

What are your Holiday workouts? If you have time.

I'm taking advantage of the walkable (for me!) weather by getting in as many outdoor walks as I still can on sunny days. Yesterday was a 3 miler. Today, who knows? Planning on starting P90X2 tomorrow.

Supreme 90 day: Who has tried this?

The thing about this series: even if you like only two (or one, depending on the price point you get it at) of the workouts, it's worth the price of admission because they are so reasonably priced.

Supreme 90 day: Who has tried this?

For me, Chest/Back is the only workout I need to rewind or pause. And the only person who looks like they really don't want to be there is one woman in the warm-up.

    Lol Cat Yoga

I love that the music seems to announce the entrance of 'the master.' My favorite part is when the woman (who has great form) does a forward bend, and kitty settles in on her butt like s/he'd be content to lie down and take a nap there!

And you could do one week of each idea, and see which works best for you!

Supreme 90 day: Who has tried this?

I have it, and used it for a few weeks before my outdoor walking season. I think it's an excellent program, especially for the price. Very time-efficient, very core focused, nicely balanced. The only things I didn't like were easily 'fixable,' like the way-too-fast chest/back workout (as I was...

Has anyone got there P90X2's yet? If, so have you viewed or done any yet?

They are available for download (free) here: Team Beachbody - Get Fit: Fitness Tools: Workout Sheets

    3 days...

I'd make at least two of the workouts a weight/cardio one, and the third would depend on my goals: either a full-body weight workout, another weights and cardio workout, or I'd put it on the Wednesday and use it a 'free choice' day and do whatever workout I felt like doing that day.

Has anyone got there P90X2's yet? If, so have you viewed or done any yet?

I've looked over the materials and starting previewing the DVDs so far, but plan to do a rotation starting in a few weeks. IMO, this is another winner from Tony. It looks like a system that works synergistically, and has a basis in exercise science. A nice mix of newer techniques and more...

    Robbed and feeling weird

{{{{Melanie}}}} What a horrible thing to have happened! I can somewhat relate as well. My car was broken into the weekend before Thanksgiving (while I was at home, and it was sitting in my driveway, but I didn't hear it), and a purse stolen, and that made me feel so insecure and violated, I...

    Foam Roller Question

They can be used as part of a warm-up, to help release trigger points and stretch muscles. They can be used as spot treatment for problem areas (for example, the IT band often benefits from foam rolling). If you have joint tendonitis, rolling the muscle that attaches to the joint (NOT over the...
