- When I began doing Cathe Workouts
- I did the MMA Boxing video a few times months ago but I am now making it my Tuesday/Friday cross training for my 1/2 marathon off training days.
- How I found out about Cathe Workouts
- I've seen many of her videos in the Collage Video fliers I get.
- Why I love doing Cathe Workouts
- I've always wanted to be in the kind of shape that would allow me to do her dvd's but I always thought I was too heavy, weak and out of shape to do them. The descriptions of her dvd's sounded impossibly hard. When I went looking for a boxing DVD (not kick-boxing) I stumbled upon her MMA boxing video at Amazon.com and read a review that said it was too easy I hoped that meant "doable" for me. It was and I sweated A LOT!! I love her feminine strength. I'm not in my twenties anymore and find the "perkiness" or "overly sensual" videos annoying. She appears confidet, poised and classy. She reflects the strength and femininity I aspire to. I can't wait to be ready to try her other videos!

- My Fitness Goals
- My goal is ultimately to lose 80-90 lbs. I could go as far as 100 but what I really want is to add some muscle so I'm good if that puts the number up a bit. I did a half marathon last year and loved it!! I'm planning 3 more this summer/fall. After that I would like to spend my winter months doing more strength training and gaining more muscle.
- My Success Story
- Several years ago I lost 55 lbs and got back to my prewedding weight. I loved how free I felt from self doubt and fear. Unfortunately I had a bad reaction to new meds and struggled with debilitating fatigue. I could hardly walk on my treadmill anymore more or less run on it. For many years following the inevitable weight gain I sank into depression, all the while obsessing about my weight and eating to soothe my pain. Then four days ago, thanks to my sweet husband I found the strength to discipline my eating habits. It's only been 4 days but I have already turned down sweet and fattening foods. Stuck to my calorie goals, ran 8 miles in prep for my 13.1 AND lost 6 lbs in the process! I now have major motivation!! I'm not afraid it won't stick, and I'm not concerned about missing out on tempting foods forever. I'm in training and I KNOW
I'll succeed!!
