1 Year post Hysterectomy and mastered IMAX2 no problem

Hi all Just wanted everyone to know that although a 'hyst' isn't easy - I found that power-walking through the 6 - 8 months of recovery, coupled with regular weight training, you can sustain your fitness, strength and aerobic capacity. I celebrated my year 'hyst- anniversary' this week...

Any post-op hysterectomy types trying to get back in Cathe shape?

Hi all Just wondering if anyone suggestions re: working out post-hyst (3 months, bikini incision). I've been easing myself back to Cathe after walking like a mad-woman post-op. Have found Low Max OK, the others I've tried with the jumping etc. I lace my fingers over my lower abs to provide...

Getting back into the Cathe groove post-hysterectomy

Hello all Just wondering if anyone could suggest a reasonable way to ease back into Cathe territory. I'm almost 10 weeks post-op from a sub-total hysterectomy and walked like a 'mad-woman' from 1 week post-op. Since returning to work, I'm too pooped to do anything fitness-wise, but now I'm...

Thanks so much for your workouts Cathe!

Hi Cathe Just wanted to say thanks for your challenging workouts to which I give a whole lotta credit for my speedy recovery from a sub-total abdominal hysterectomy 2 1/2 weeks ago. That extra reserve of physical stamina and strength has really made the difference for this 45 y.o. bod. I'm...

LOW MAX CRISIS-WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?

Another idea... I did the step mix first, in order to get it down then the next day did the intervals 1-4 , then a day of intervals 4-7 and lastly put it all together doing the whole shebang. Somehow, it didn't seem so overwhelming ... at least there were some moves I recognized from the...

    In Awe of your Creativeness...

My full endorsement for Cathe's creativity. I've only had a chance to preview Low Max, Imax 3 and Core Max and I'm amazed at the all the different combos and choreography. I love all your tapes and can't wait to try out these new ones. Thanks for making your work-outs so fun and challenging...

    The Firm

I was a "Firmy" for several years and although I did see some results, they were nothing like what Cathe's videos have given me. I've been working out with Cathe exclusively for 2 years and see a lot more muscle definition ( under the fat layer! LOL) and stamina. One of these days I'll go back...

    Pre-op training

Hi Melissa Thanks so much for the encouragement and advice, it echoes much of what I've read on the Hyster Sisters web-site. So, I'll try to be in tip- top form and not worry about getting back to working out till my body and MD say go ahead. Marg

Seasonal Affective Disorder & Light Therapy

I bought a light last August and I've found that it's made a big difference in my mood and general ability to cope with these dark months and depression. Google "Northern Light Technologies" .. it's a Canadian company that has a variety of light therapy devices and although their products are a...

    Pre-op training

Thanks everyone for your support, encouragement and suggestions. I'm hoping that the Hardcore DVDs arrive soon so I can maximize the time I have pre-op to be in tip-top shape and have a smooth recovery without loosing too much strength and stamina. I've vowed to put all my videos, step...

    Pre-op training

Hi everyone 45 y.o.I'm scheduled for an abdominal partial hysterectomy in 11 weeks and work out with Cathe at least 3-4 times per week. I feel like I should get into a more serious 'training mode' in anticipation of not being able to work out for the 6 weeks afterwards, and to speed recovery...

    new Low Max DVD

Hi Cathe I noticed from the pictures posted on the web for the Low Max that everyone in it is using 2 risers on their step. It looks very challenging but I wonder about hopping up on that height of step....my knees are aching at the thought of it!:o :o
