Bootcamp (not the 4DS one) is my least favorite. I can't get past the over-crowded look of the set, with so many people and so much equipment. I feel like telling Cathe to watch out so she doesn't crash into someone's high step.
I think it is normal for motivation to waver. We aren't always going to be really fired up about working out... we just have to do it anyway. I try to not think about it a lot, to not check in with myself and see how I am 'feeling', or if I 'feel' like exercising. I have a regular exercise...
Can somebody tell me which workouts are considered muscle endurance/strength workouts (like STS mesocycle 1) and which are considered hypertrophy (like STS cycle 2)? Thanks!
I'm wondering about Gym Style Back SHoulders and Biceps. Would it be okay to do biceps first, then shoulders, and back last? Or is it important to do biceps last?
My biggest pet peeve is any kind of eating noise - chewing, crunching, lip smacking, teeth clanking together, just the sound of food moving around in my mouth or anyone else's.
I did my second workout in stage 1 today. Slightly too embarassed to disclose the weights I used.
I have never done deadlifts with a full knee bend before. Just looking at the picture I would call it a squat. But I read the description several times and felt it all over. When I finished...
My daughter is telling me she is supposed to bring soft candy to throw at the Bat Mitzvah girl!!! Is that true? Also, is the actual ceremony just for family? I'm not sure if we are supposed to go to the ceremony or just the party! Thanks for all the great advice so far. Keep it coming!
My daughter has been invited to her friend's Bat Mitzvah. Is money an appropriate gift? Any other tips or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!
I bought this book and read it. I am confused. So much of the info is contradictory to what we do in Cathe's workouts. The general feeling I get is that NROL4W is not necessarily for people whose main goal is to lose weight. What do you all think? Maybe I need to read it again. It was a...
There are two types of 'I'm gonna die' for me when I do IMAXes. The first is my quads feel like they are going to lock up on some of the blasts - they get worked so hard! The second is the anaerobic aspect - after a few of the blasts I actually see stars.
I'm going to second the Cetaphil. My friend's 13-year-old son has been using it for 6 months and his skin went from blah to baby-soft. So I asked her what he's using. She said her whole family started using Cetaphil, and even her 45-year-old husband's skin looks great! I decided to try it...
Maybe its just that they are so challenging, they are always going to be tough. If they felt easier, you wouldn't be getting much of a workout. And you are definitely improving if you can do the whole thing now vs. not being able to get through it. Keep on truckin'!!!
