    Can't Lose My Love Handles!!

1200 calories sounds awfully low - your body could be in 'starvation' mode, which will prevent you from losing any additional fat. What is your diet like? A typical day? Are you eating enough protein? Are your carbs clean and, as for fats - are they 'good' fats like olive oil, peanut...

need to lean up in 3 weeks!

Haven't posted here in a while....but here's my 2 cents... You can't spot reduce but by eating clean as Cathe suggested, you'll lose any fat that may be hiding the muscles in your arms. From what I understand, diet = 80% of the results you'll get from your workouts.

    Katrina timeline

I agree - first of all its a big ugly mess as Missy says and - if there was a train - then why not get people on the train and just ship 'em out? Wouldn't that be a mandatory evacuation? And, there should have been some law and order in that superdome - that to me, is crazy! I'm not saying...

    Katrina timeline

Look at preventative measures that could have been done - If I'm wrong then please correct me but the Mayor of NO could have forced the evactuation of those who didn't leave - he had at least 500 city buses he could have used to get people out before the storm hit (and those are the poorer...

    Why?

I do know that Canada has offered help - our PM said whatever help was needed.

    Why?

OMG Toasty - I wish I hadn't read your post about the woman who didn't get on the bus but her baby did. Now I'm crying. that is the most horrifying thing I've heard (besides the other horrifying things.) God - what can we do? donate? sure, but that doesn't cut it - I guess we just have to...

    Supersize She--OMG!

I saw it too - it really grossed me out. I actually joined in 1/2 way through. My DH was already watching it and I said who's that? he told me she was a woman - I thought he was kidding me - I said no way - that's a man with long hair! LOL! Then I watched it and was sooooo grossed out...

    Ditch the crunches?

crunches work - but only to a certain extent - IMHO I do Cathe workouts and have great abs. But what really pushed me over the top was going to the gym and adding resistance. Roman Chair, Cable crunches (with weights) and core work. I love the Cathe tapes when she uses medicine balls...

should you teach a boy to like boy things?

I wouldn't worry. There's nothing wrong with being interested in animals and having stuffed animal! who knows? Maybe he'll be a vet when he grows up - there's nothing wrong with that? I think you should encourage him with whatever he's interested in. Encouragement is key. If you try to...

    germs,germs,germs

I live near Toronto - we went through the SARS crisis a few years back and let me tell you - I'm crazy about hand washing. It is a must. My kids hate me for constantly washing their hands. I also carry purell and travel wipes in my purse. I just can't stand the thought of the germs...

    great dream

Last night, I had a great dream! I dreamt that I was at this fancy ball and Leonardo DiCapprio was there - in a tux. Man, he looked great. then, he came over to my table and asked me to dance - slow dance. He kept complimenting me on how I looked and how he'd like to get to know...

my most humiliating moment in history

RE: Tina Marla - I wrote it to be funny! I look back at it now and its funny! at the time, I wasn't laughing! I was mortified....and, the worst part is - when I was washing my hands in the washroom before I made that graceful strut back to my table, there were two other girls in the...

my most humiliating moment in history

RE: Tina Good Lord - this thread is making me cry! Jillybean - that's an awful story... my embarassing moments? In 9th grade, in our area of Canada, Kodiak boots were the 'in' thing to wear, untied, with the tongue hanging open and jeans poking through. well, I was at a movie theatre...
