    Neck pad for barbells

I'd really like to get a neck pad like Cathe and the others use on the videos. I can't find one in my local sporting good stores and I'm wondering if any of you on the forum use them and where you got yours'.

    I hate my butt !!!

Actually, my rear end looks okay in my clothes and it IS in proportion to the rest of my body. I was whining I guess because it's summer and we're supposed to go boating with friends soon and I don't want to put a bathing suit on! Rockette, what are callenetics? Boring or not, I'd try it if...

    I hate my butt !!!

Okay, I need serious help with this lumpy, sagging body part that scares me everytime I see it in the mirror! What do you recommend as the best exercises or workout tapes for the glutes and how often do I need to work "it" before I see some definition again?

    Shopping for jeans

I have discovered that Tommy Hilfiger jeans are a good fit for me, as long as I can find a relatively classic style, not the goofy teenybopper ones with a big TH on the butt. The ones I like sit below the waist which I like because I think that cut helps camoflage a belly pooch.

    Fat Flush program

Boy, do you speak the truth when you say aging sucks! Until I hit 40 two years ago I never gave any thought to how many calories I consumed daily. My metabolism just seemed to control my weight. Not anymore! I have to watch everything I eat and if I splurge I pack on the pounds easily now...

Anyone in the market or wanting in?

Thanks for the info! I work for an investment advisory firm so I find this stuff very informative. I've had a few clients call in this morning with questions about Worldcom and I didn't know what it was all about. Your thread was the first I'd heard of it. They're wanting to sell some of...

    Break-ups and staying motivated . . .

RE: Lynnesq2 and R Burke This thread pulled at my heartstrings so I need to jump in here. First of all, I'm so sorry to hear you're hurting. I am currently trying to help one of my best friends survive a breakup after 30 years of marriage. Her husband is almost 50 and is having a mid-life...

How many calories am I burning?

Hey, cool website! Thanks Lori! One hour of high-impact aerobics for an old lady my age burns 385 calories. When I selected kickboxing it says it burns 551 calories! (As opposed to repairing an airplane, which burns only 165.) Hmm. Very interesting!

How many calories am I burning?

Does anyone know how to figure the amount of calories you're actually burning when you do, say, the Cardio Kicks workout? I did that one last night and, as you know, it's a tough workout. And do I burn as many calories doing a workout like this as opposed to running for an hour? I'm just...

LAST EDITED ON Jun-03-02 AT 10:47AM (Est)[p]I used glucosamine chondroitin a few years ago when I experienced hip pain caused by using my Nordic-Track too much for long periods of time. It took several weeks of taking it but it really made a difference! You have to follow the dosage directions...

    Need recipes for clean eating!

I was just now reading the clean eating check-in and it has me motivated to eat clean this week too, so maybe I can carry it over to next week and week after! What I need is recipes or a website to find ways to fix beans and legumes, etc. because I know I don't get enough of these kinds of...

    How'd you meet your husband?

I met my husband in high school. We were high school sweethearts and got married right out of high school. Being from a little town in Iowa where everyone knows everyone, and being so young, alot of people said we'd never make it. But we proved them wrong and this year will celebrate 23 years...

    What is clean eating?

It is the number one most important thing you can do to start on the road to fitness. In laymen's term, it's paying attention to what you eat each and every day and sticking to nutritious, low-fat foods that fuel your body. It's watching the size of your portions, watching your calorie and fat...
