Pyramid cardio

Hi,
I would love to have a pyramid cardio workout that utilizes incremental increases in intensity to reach an all out effort push for 30-40 seconds and then the same decreases in intensity back to the starting point. I find gradually increased intensity cardio a little less shocking to the system, but effective. It would be nice to have that option for some days. The intensity can still be there, it would simply be reached incrementally.
This could be combined with pyramid strength moves to make an interval workout as well. Perhaps a series?
