How are the Workout Rotations Put Together?

How are the workout rotations put together? Are they just randomly chosen and put up each month? Or is there a reason behind why each workout for a particular week is chosen for each particular day?
Are these good to follow for an advanced "exerciser?" Or more for the beginner for something to follow starting off with?
 
I am doing the July rotation and find it is a mix of upper then lower body then cardio. I have mainly been running the last few months so my cardio is good but the weight training is quite challenging. I think an advanced exerciser will benefit from the rotations and will enjoy the variation. The cost of the monthly streaming is much cheaper than a gym membership.
